GMV Quiz Night: Fri 12th June

Back by popular demand… the GMV Quiz Night returns!

Join us on Friday 12th June for a lively evening of trivia, laughs and a touch of healthy competition. After a great turnout last year, the Greenwich Millennium Village Residents’ Association is once again bringing neighbours together – so gather your team, put your knowledge to the test, and see if you’ve got what it takes to come out on top!

GMV Bingo Night: Friday 28th Nov

Welcome to Greenwich Millennium Village Residents Association’s first GMV Bingo Night! Numbers, nibbles and nonstop fun with old and new friends!

The event will be held in person at the GMV Community Centre, 1st Floor, 2 Oswald Gardens, SE10 0SH. Get ready for an evening of laughter, friendly competition, and the chance to win prizes!

£6 per person. This includes 3 bingo cards (one bingo card for each round). Additional cards can be purchased for £2 each (cash and card payment accepted during the evening). No refunds.

GMV’s VE Day 80 celebrations: 5th May

Join friends and neighbours in celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE day on Monday 5th May from 12 noon – 4 pm in Southern Park.

Come along for a Picnic in the Park! Bring food and drink to eat and share with your neighbours. There will be a big gazebo with some tables and chairs, providing a perfect gathering spot to relax and mingle. Don’t forget to bring your own picnic blankets too! Let’s make lasting memories together in this vibrant community event.

Events

We are hosting a GMV BAKE OFF for the VE 80 Day celebrations. Please bring your homemade cakes, pastries, or biscuits to the big gazebo in Southern Park between 12 and 12:30 PM.

There will be 2 categories:
– under 18s (children)
– 18 and over (adults)

Contestants are required to provide a complete list of ingredients, including allergens. Judging is set to start at 12:30 PM, and all treats can be shared after!

Other events and timings to note include:

  • Face painting: 12:30 to 2:30 PM
  • Interactive bubble show: 1 to 1:45 PM and again from 2 to 2:45 PM
  • Football: 1 to 3 PM

Other fun activities may include a quiz and colouring.

GMVRA Summer Family Festival (£10,000)

We would like to hold the GMVRA Summer Fayre on 15th June 2024 in Southern Park. A fun packed day and evening for all ages to include performances on our stage, sport and games, local business stalls, face painting, food and drink and more.

Our grant application has made it to the shortlist and we need your votes to help us deliver activities for our community. We need these funds to run the event.

Please get everyone in your household to vote, we need as many votes as possible to fund the fayre.

The GMVRA does not get regular funding so sources like this ensure we can carry on hosting this important event that benefits our wider community!
